One Piece Vol. #1 — BGS 5 English Manga 1st Printing

One Piece is Eiichiro Oda's Weekly Shonen Jump serial and the best selling manga series ever published. This is the English first printing of Volume 1, released by VIZ Media in 2003, the book that introduced Monkey D. Luffy and the East Blue arc to readers outside Japan. English first prints of Volume 1 are the entry point most Western collectors chase, and clean early VIZ stock has thinned considerably as the series has grown.

Beckett graded this copy 5.0 with white pages. The grader notes record a large stain on the left front cover, corner and edge wear, indents on the back cover, a sticker attached to the interior back cover, and light foxing to the page edges. A 5.0 is a well read but complete and structurally sound book, which is why mid grade copies of a key first printing still carry collector demand: the copy is authenticated and sealed in a Beckett slab, so the printing itself is no longer in question.
